We’re so excited to announce that :Different has been shortlisted for the REB Awards 2021!
As a small (but mighty) team of real estate experts who are using tech to shake up the traditional ways of property management, we're thrilled to have been recognised amongst Australia's top real estate professionals and agencies.
The REB Awards is the national benchmark for excellence in real estate. Since 2013, it has celebrated the best of the best in real estate sales and property management, and is the most coveted award for Australia’s agents, networks, innovators, leaders and property managers.
The finalist list, which was announced on Wednesday, 9 December 2020, features over 252 high-achieving individuals and businesses across 30+ submission-based categories.
Not only has :Different been named a finalist for the Property Management Business of the Year - 7 or More Property Managers category - we’re also extremely proud to announce that our Head of Leasing, Kasey McDonald, has been nominated for Mentor of the Year.
With over 21 years of experience in the real estate industry, Kasey has consulted, mentored, and conducted workshop training and conference events for property managers all over Australia. Since joining :Different in August 2020, Kasey has led the Leasing Team to new heights, with 160 properties leased over the past 3 months, and the team doubling in size.
“It’s a great honour to be recognised for my contributions to supporting or mentoring my team, colleagues, and businesses alike, guiding them with their development, sparking innovation and improving organisations.
“I like to think I have a creative approach to the industry - so that, combined with :Different’s startup mentality, makes me excited to help shape the property management industry’s future”.
Commenting on the announcement of the finalist list, REB news editor Grace Ormsby said the annual event is a calendar highlight, and is a fantastic way to celebrate Australia’s top-performing agents and agencies.
“Real estate agents Australia-wide have dealt with fires, floods and a pandemic over the last calendar year, making the REB Awards 2021 even more important in acknowledging the hard work that the industry puts in day in and day out.
“On behalf of REB, I’d like to congratulate every single finalist for the 2021 event. They’ve gone above and beyond in their pursuit of real estate excellence and must be commended.
“We can’t wait to celebrate and recognise the best of the best at our live-streamed awards event, to be held on 28 January 2021.
“This year, more than any other, the hard work deserves to be recognised.”
